Presentation of the Gstaad Music Promenade The Association pour la Promotion de la Musique Classique (APMC) presents an exceptional classic music evening celebrating Lord Menuhin's 50th anniversary of music in Gstaad for an invited audience of 200 people at a gala concert. The aim is to support the Camerata Lysy founded by Alberto Lysy, Director of the International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA) and to benefit the scholarships and ongoing programmes of the APMC. This first edition is also an opportunity for the APMC to present the young Greek violinist Ionian Kadesha. The role of the musicians is key: as performers and as participants in supporting these aims. All musicians except Camerata Lysy are generously donating their time, expertise and goodwill to ensure the success of this event. There will be a concert in Lauenen Church with Elena Kelessidi, the internationally acclaimed Greek soprano who will sing in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the death of Maria Callas. The one hour concert (without interval) will be followed by a supper for 120 guests at the Gstaad Yacht Club in the presence of the artists and a number of local celebrities, business people and society leaders in the style of previous APMC events.
